Nozzle Heaters deliver reliable high-temperature heating to cylindrical surfaces. Nozzle heaters are available in one-piece construction along with a variety of diameters, widths, voltages, and wattages clamp styles and power connections. Common applications for nozzle heaters include plastic injection molding, plastic extrusion, molding presses, die casting, blown-film, packaging, food processing, analytical instrumentation, and more.
Diameters: 1-3 inches (25-76 mm)
Widths: 1-6 inches (25-152.4 mm)
Voltages: 120, 240 VAC
Watts: Up to 1000 W
Construction: One-piece
Power Connection: 12 in (304.8 mm) stainless steel braid leads
Clamping Type: Barrel Nut
For a higher performing nozzle heater, AceTronic also offers Mineral Insulated (MI) nozzle heaters. MI nozzle heaters are manufactured from a material that has much higher thermal conductivity than regular conventional heaters.
A thin layer of the “high” thermal conductive MI material is used to electrically insulate the element wire from the inside diameter of the heater sheath. A thicker, “low” thermal conductivity layer backs up the element wire, directing the heat inward toward the surface being heated. As a result, there is an increase in the efficiency of the heat transfer. By was of this construction the heater life increases, lending to lower maintenance time and cost.
